BACKGROUND:

Peter Emmerson Productions was established in 1977 and was incorporated in 1979. The name was amended to Peter Emmerson Photography to better reflect the type of work produced. I have worked with a variety of corporate clients for many years. I have been providing unique solutions to a wide variety of visual challenges both originally in the film business, in the corporate world of photography, and digital cinema.

PHILOSOPHY:

My documentary film background has influenced my photographic shooting style, because of this, I will often try and recreate lighting techniques from nature or from the stage, evoking mood, drama or enhancing beauty. Photography is a craft that requires switching styles to best suit the needs of the client. The documentary style is a foundation for a shooting style but certain photographic requirements involve stylizing the subject matter, so flexibility is a component to my photographic approach.

TRAVEL:

I have traveled extensively around the globe and taken photos and video in: USA, England, France, Germany, Haiti, Japan, Singapore, Greece, Austria, Puerto Rico and all across Canada.
